PTSD not a sign of weakness but of strength!

My lessons have been difficult and painful, some have left physical scars,  others emotional ones. I would say the emotional scars are far deeper, the physical ones fade with time, the emotional ones linger, they can penetrate your soul.  The scars are only a reminder, the emotional ones haunt our dreams, our every thoughts, they show up at random times, causing great anxiety and uncertainty, not knowing what is reality or just a nightmare. It can be scary for so many reasons.  We don’t know what is real and what is not at times, but seem very real to us. It takes a lot of self reflection, perspective and knowledge to figure out, what was reality and what is not, made up by a traumatize mind.  PTSD, it can be all encompassing, a frightening version of threat around you all the time, I have this affliction but I am happy to say that today, its grip is not as strong as it has been, in previous years.

I have HUGE compassion and empathy for all of us, who suffer from this. There is hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. Seek out help, talk about it, so you can take the power of shame away from it.

God bless You and your Family! Thankful, Grateful and Blessed!
