Please don’t call!

dont call

How many of us, have received calls, when we look at who the caller is, our stomachs drop into our feet, our hearts start pounding and our temperature goes up.  It’s not the collection agency, IRS or the authorities. It is simply a “friend” or “family” member that causes you more upset than joy.

Not wanting to answer the call, yet feeling obligated to do so. It is a battle with yourself during those four to five rings, between the debate of “Should I answer” to “I’ll let it go to voicemail”.  Then if you do let it go to voicemail, then it is like a black cloud, just waiting for you to check and see what it is they want/need this time, causing the same or more anxiety than the actual call.

I don’t think I am the only person who has felt this, am I? My solution to this, was I decided to block those people who cause me anxiety from being able to call, text or leave a voicemail, all together. Yes it is like throwing the baby out with the bath water, when I did it, it caused me unbelievable anxiety. At least this way, I can work on getting over it, and not have my heart stop every time my phone rings. In the end it was freeing!

Thankful, Grateful and Blessed!
