Yes, it was my first camping trip/experience ever!!
I had really no idea what to expect, so I kept an open mind and went with the flow as much as I possibly could, which I felt worked out for me, in the sense that I was able to allow the day to unfold as it did, with a calm heart and patiences.
First thing upon arriving at the camp site, we set up our tents, thank goodness for me, the other campers helped me set mine up, then we took a stroll around our camp, when we settled in we did dinner of hot dogs, and had some libations.
A bit later we decided to play card monopoly, which was another first for 3 of us. It was kid of fun, and gave something to entertain us as night fell upon us.
By 10:30-10:45, three out of five of us was ready for bed, so we all headed to our individual tents.
I read a bit, and settled in and fell asleep faster than I thought I would. I did toss and turn a bit through the night, noticing that my neighbor in the tent beside me, was snoring making my sleep less than idyllic.
The next morning I awoke at 6:45, exhausted and ready to go home. Unfortunately, I had to wait for the other four people, to wake up, get up, eat, clean up and get there things packed and in their cars, this took hours, which was more like days for me.
In the end, I was happy I went, I would consider doing it again, but for now, I need to recover from this adventure first.
Thankful, Grateful & Blessed!
