Are you also sleepwalking? When you stop and think about it, you probably are, most of us are at some point to some degree.
What I mean by this is, at least for me is, I wake up Monday-Friday, same time, do the same routine, get to work and start what seems like “groundhog” day all over again, then I get home, contemplate going to the gym, eat dinner, then I am onto choosing my outfit for the next day, and so on and so on.
Next day wake up and do the same things, almost in the same pattern, even what I eat is usually the same as before, very seldom do I venture outside of my “usual” foods, so my palette is also “sleepwalking”.
Then the weekend arrives and I find myself, with little to do and look forward to. My habits are strong, so strong they sometimes feel like they are strangling me, yet at the same time these very habits make me feel safe. An oxymoron if I ever heard one.
This is when being mindful comes in handy, to pull myself out of the clouds, and be present in the here and now.
The last thing I would want is to leave this body and planet, look at what was my life, and know how much of it I wasted away by not being present. By that time it will be too late, it’s now or never!
