For the last three days our Admin Assistant who sits at the front desk, has been out due to her son being ill. I volunteered to sit up front to help out.
This desk better suits me because I am not sitting in a vulnerable place, like I am at my desk. My face is facing forward where I can see the people who are approaching and my computer screens face me, but here there is a wall behind me, not random people all of a sudden being in my place and seeing what I am doing on the computer, which cause me to spook. I find myself constantly looking over my shoulder, to see if anyone is coming or around the corner, it is an uneasy feeling, that causes me stress and anxiety.
I am not overly excited to have to go back to my desk, upon her return. It is nothing personal, i just prefer her location and sitting scheme, it works for me.
