Cannonau Wine

I read in an article that “Cannonau Wine” was the most consumed wine by Swedes as their go to everyday wine. Since I lived in Sweden for a year, I was and am very curious and interested in Sweden, their customs, habits, etc.

I do not recall this type of wine, I could have enjoyed it on many an occasion and just not paid attention or remember it. Now, I will make the effort to find its kind here in the US. You never know something delicious could be right under my nose.

Cannonau wine is a red wine made on the island of Sardinia, Italy. It’s made from the Grenache grape, and the wine is typically dry and high in tannins. These tannins are thought to be the source of powerful antioxidant properties, which help prevent disease and aging.
